01 - 10 July

Picked jostaberries. blueberries. strawberries, raspberries and a few gooseberries.
Cut first courgettes
Pulled first beetroot
Sweet Wiiliams coming to an end.
Picked first Kent Blue mangetout
Sowed more peas and dwarf French beans
Blackfly of second lot of broad beans
Buddleia flowering.

11 - 17 July

Still no rain and high temperatures so lots of watering.
Harvested first Casablanca potatoes from the plot and third crate from the garden
Harvested small cauliflowers
Harvested first peas
Harvested first courgettes
Still picked raspberries, strawberries, blueberries and jostaberries
Picked first gooseberries and blackberries
Harvested some beetroot
Grass on plot and in garden very dry and yellow
Still dry, dry, dry

Morning plot visits to water, harvest and avoid the heat
High temperatures reaching over 40 C / 104F
Nostell looking autumnal
Grass either yellow or totally dead
