Gardening activities begin to slow down in October or consist of mainly preparing beds for next season or harvesting winter crops and so on some days I will just publish a photograph

Cutting back astrantias worked - we have a second flush of flowers

Cleared climbing French and runner beans
Chrysanthemums moved into plot greenhouse.

Herbs given protection in cold frame and greenhouse

Stored apples are keeping the fruit bowl well stocked.
Grapes trained on shed wall are small but sweet and ripe

Six years of weather blogs and some harvesting

Native ox-eyed daisies are providing surprisingly good cut flowers

Bought another pot mum which will be added to our outdoor collection next year.
