Shades of autumn

Trees are at various stages of leaf drop.
Endings and beginnings - harvest

Very wet
Reddish and Yellowish - new flower bed.

The medlar is turning

Stewed quinces and cooking apples t0 make a compote.
More mist then rain - quince and apple compote

Acer is a beacon of red.

Leaves are beginning to fall quickly now.
Reddish and yellowish - new border

The wind has stripped the acer's leaves.
Fall has arrived

Visited plot to harvest. Picked first chrysanthemums. Dug first beetroots.

The two white climbing roses - White Cloud and White Star still have flowers.

The first bulb shoots have popped through in the pebble garden whilst some flowers are still hanging on

The passion flower is still flowering as well has having some fruits.
The first hellebore is flowering.

I thought that something had dug up the garlic and onion sets but they are shooting

Turned out frosty

Nothing to get excited about - picking salad leaves still but banana hit by fall in temperatures

Indoor plants providing colour and one of the orchids is still flowering

Buds ready for spring but should the day lily have buds now?

Bought a bronze pot mum to add to collection

Still not much progress with winter salads in greenhouse

Banana plant cut back and taken into the greenhouse for winter
Lucky banana - I've chickened out

Still using stored apples although some are starting to rot

Indoor plants regrowing after being cut back.
Another unwelcome November record

I’ve changed the diary format again - one day I’ll find a format that I like!
