Sizergh Castle and Gardens are situated near Kendal in Cumbria. It is still lived in by the Strickland family so the castle and some parts of the garden are inaccessible or Fridays and Saturdays when the family are in residence.

The rock garden is the largest limestone rock garden belonging to the National Trust and includes part of the National Collection of hardy ferns.

We enjoyed our visit in particular wandering through the rock garden which was beautiful.
