1 - 10 March
The weather turned wet and windy
Early brassicas arrived and were potted up
More rotovating and edging beds
Tidied another allotment flower bed.
Pruned some roses in the garden
Visited NT Clumber Park
Daphne on flower
Picked first broccoli sprouts and some tiny Brussels sprouts
Continued pollinating the peach blossom
Sowed leeks and lettuce
Wettest month of the year and early brassicas

11 - 17 March
Very wet and windy
The frog have arrived
Pulled first rhubarb and harvested first of the PSB
Planted potatoes in tubs
Sowed first broad beans
Bought stepping stones for new garden bed.

18 - 24 March
More preparing beds on the allotment
Planted first onions sets
Took dahlias out of storage and potted up
Cut grass on the plot
Ordered more raspberries and strawberries
Greengage and plum blossom out.
Visit from radio Leeds
Magnolia flowering
Tidying the garden and more work on crab apple area
Lots of preparing but not much planted yet
25 - 31 March
Dug up all the remaining parsnips and carrots
Sowed sweet peas
Trimmed sage plants
Cut back last year's frond from ferns
Finished renovating overgrown bed and planted with Rocket potatoes
Planted some Casablanca and Athlete potatoes
Potatoes planted in crates are shooting.
Planted early brassicas, cabbage, cauliflower and calabrese
Saw first ladybirds
Lots of preparing but not much planted yet
