One plot visit to harvest and continue some tidying
Visited garden centre but refrained from being tempted by the display of orchids

Mild and windy start to January
Martyn's birthday visit to RSPB Fairburn Ings
8 - 14 January
No gardening this week
Lots of new shoots various bulbs and anemone de Caen
Lots of hungry blackbirds too
15 - 21 January
Wet, windy and cold so no allotment visits this week
Short visit to Harlow Carr and saw first snowdrops
Garden full of very hungry blackbirds
Sarococca and garrya flowering
Main seed order has arrived
Cut back old leaves on hellebores
Hellebores have started to produce flowers
New project for 2018 - pot pourri
A good job it's fallen as rain

Tidied up perennial borders in the garden
Started to tidy the greenhouse
Harvest a few peppers from dead plants
