Below are photographs on the site taken in January 2007. January was generally a better month than usual. It had slightly higher mean temperatures and apparently was drier and sunnier than normal. (According to Paul Hudson). Must say that I remember it as very wet and windy on the site. The soil which is clay based was very soggy with water standing in puddles in places. The gales also devastated the site by flattening many sheds and greenhouses. One victim was a wildlife pond which was pierced by broken glass from a nearby greenhouse.
