A spooky Fountains Abbey by floodlight with Ruby
We visited the World Heritage Site of Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal to see the historic abbey floodlit. We arrived in the early afternoon to take some pictures and video as well as give Ruby a good walk. It was a misty day not really all that good for photography.

A walk at Nostell Priory before storm Babet

A walk at Temple Newsam with Ruby
On a lovely sunny and warm afternoon we took Ruby for a walk at Temple Newsam. There are a few clips taken inside the large greenhouse situated in the walled garden. Ruby is not allowed in the greenhouse. It didn’t bother Ruby as long as she got a game of fetch.

Lifting carrots for winter storage and some wildlife
It’s the time of year for us to lift our carrots and store them in tubs of compost over winter in the garden greenhouse. Left in the ground they will either rot or be eaten by slugs or suffer from a combination of both. This is our first bed of carrots to be lifted. I’ll lift the second batch once today’s carrots have been sorted out.
