Design a Climbing Frame for Runner Beans

As  can be seen from the photo on the left as a runner bean grows it winds around a support.

Without a support the bean would sprawl along the ground as its stems are not strong and rigid. The runner bean grows upwards to ensure that its leaves have more sunlight falling on them.

Have a go at creating an interesting frame that your runner beans can climb up.

The structures on the left have all been made from bamboo canes but frames can be made of other material too. Your could use hazel branches like the ones below.

You can use materials other than bamboo poles. The structure must be strong as fully grown bean plants are very heavy. It also must be firm enough to withstand strong wind. You must also decide how you are going to fasten your materials together.
