When I last looked a couple of days ago the forecasts didn’t suggest we would be getting any frosts over the next few days. However, I noticed this morning that had changed and a frost was now forecast for Thursday morning.
At the allotment, our early Casablanca potatoes are just pushing their first tender shoots through the surface.
We did a few jobs at the allotment this afternoon (Tuesday) so I took the opportunity to earth up some soil over the new shoots.
In the greenhouse at home our tomato plants and coleus are coming on well but I’d hate them to be frosted.
I’ll cover them over with fleece each night to hopefully protect them from any cold weather.
