Roger’s Garden in North Yorkshire Visitor plot Tom

Roger Brooke is an advocate of no dig gardening and is author of the blog The No Dig Gardener. I met Roger in the virtual world of blogging a while ago and so when he mentioned that his garden was open under the National Garden Scheme and as he didn’t live too far away from me - well we are in the same county - we decided to pop over and see his garden for ourselves.

At about an acre, I can only envy the size of Roger’s garden. His style of gardening is also very much to my own taste where large islands beds of perennials jostle for space with a series of garden ponds.

If that isn’t enough, Roger has incorporated into his garden views of the surrounding countryside in the beautiful North Yorkshire village where he lives.

Roger’s garden is open twice a year under the NGS with all proceeds being donated to charity. Watch out for his next opening day as his garden is well worth a visit!
