Well in general 2023 is supposed to have been the hottest, warmest year ever but in our little neck of the woods that wasn&#8217;t the case. 2023 wasn&#8217;t even the runner-up, that place went to\u00a0 2014 with 2022 holding on to the number one spot and 2023 coming third equal with 2011.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section average rainfall, although it must be said that it wasn&#8217;t equally distributed throughout the year.<\/p><p>We did venture down to the allotment this weekend but after some snow on Thursday and plenty of rain on Friday and Saturday it was too wet to do any serious gardening and we had to settle for harvesting some parsnips and leeks.<\/p><p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" grass paths are extremely wet and standing in water.
