I usually post an update of the previous week\u2019s activities on a Monday but this week \u00a0I haven\u2019t managed to stick to my routine. I had a couple of days when my shoulder was very painful. In fact the aches extended down my arm. It wasn\u2019t too bad when I was either on my feet or sitting back on the sofa but there was no way that I could sit at my computer downloading photos. To be honest I haven\u2019t much to report as the weather has been foul and we didn\u2019t really get out so I haven\u2019t really much to report.<\/p>

We still haven\u2019t made it to the allotment and it has been far too wet to work in the garden. Luckily we brought plenty of parsnips and leeks home with us which are stored in the garage and freezers.<\/p>

Martyn attended another out patients appointment at the hospital, where they were happy that the healing process is progressing as it should.<\/p>

I did still manage to do some cooking as for some reason \u00a0this didn\u2019t affect my shoulder.<\/p>

\"\"I made some v<\/a>egetable and bean \u2018burgers<\/a>\u2019 into which went some of our potatoes and frozen sweet corn. We had some served with a mixture of our frozen cauliflower, peas, broad beans and French beans. A couple were popped in the freezer as a backup for when we want a quick meal<\/p>

\"\"Some<\/span> of our potatoes, frozen leeks and squash were used with some fresh parsley in a chicken, cider and vegetable casserole<\/a>. Instead of cider I used some sparkling apple juice, that ended up all over the kitchen floor as a fountain shot out of the bottle when I popped the cork,<\/p>

\"\"We have lots of onions and potatoes left in storage so I decided to make some potato and onion soup<\/a>. Some portions were popped into the freezer.\u00a0<\/p>

\"\"I also cooked a turkey pasta<\/a> dish that used some of our carrots and onion. I used chicken stock instead of broth.<\/p>

Other than cooking we have been kept busy indoors as we are planning to redecorate and refurnish one of our bedrooms. This means that wardrobes and drawers need emptying before the existing furniture is disassembled and taken away in a few weeks time. Goodness knows where I\u2019ll put everything until the new furniture is installed in May.<\/p>

Finally, Ruby has been treated to a new coat. Her previous coats have had Velcro fastenings. After a while Velcro loses it\u2019s sticking power so her new coat fastens with a zipper and has a built in harness.\"\"<\/p>

Now Ruby would like the weather to improve so that she can can make more use of her new clothing.<\/p>

\"\"Hopefully, next week\u2019s post will be on schedule as my shoulder is much improved. Fingers crossed that the improvement continues.<\/p>
