We thought the Northern Lights event would be all cleared away, but that wasn&#8217;t the case. We still managed a decent walk, although some grassy areas were roped off and other paths closed. As we left home the sun was attempting to break through the clouds but 20 minutes later as we arrived at Nostell a rather dense mist had descended. We dug up some leeks (Below Zero) and parsnips (Gladiator). We hadn\u2019t visited for a couple of weeks due to some poor weather. We\u2019ve had a mixture of snow and rain as well as a week of frosty weather so it was a matter of getting Ruby out for a walk rather than visiting the allotment.
