I\u2019ve seen reports that the higher parts of Yorkshire had snow on Christmas Day. It wasn\u2019t the case for us. We had a dull wet day continuing the trend of the last couple of weeks. I think it\u2019s now 12 days since we last saw any glimpse of sunshine. We have a weekly walk around Nostell Priory with Ruby and on the last couple of visits it\u2019s been misty. To make matters worse on our visit last week it decided to pour with rain before we finished our walk.<\/p>

Everything outside is permanently wet even though it\u2019s not raining all the time. Without any brighter weather nothing has a chance to dry out.<\/p>

There\u2019s not much greenery in the garden. Most of our main border needs cutting back but it\u2019s a job we leave until spring.<\/p>

I think it\u2019s a good time to sit down with some seed catalogues and sort out our flower and vegetable seeds for next year.
