Monty explained how it had rained all night and most of the day. He planted out a few plants and commented that they didn&#8217;t need watering in as the ground was very moist.<\/p><p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-911 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/ossettweather.com\/gardening2020\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/DSC02566.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ossettweather.com\/gardening2020\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/DSC02566.jpg 640w, https:\/\/ossettweather.com\/gardening2020\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/DSC02566-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/p><p>Well, that&#8217;s certainly not the case where we live. We haven&#8217;t had any proper rain since the middle of March. April was one of the driest months I&#8217;ve recorded in over ten years of keeping weather records. May is continuing in the same vein as April as so far we&#8217;ve managed just 0.6mm (0.02in) of rainfall.
