You might think there\u2019s a lockdown going on and that we\u2019re all supposed to stay at home rather than making the most of the brilliant weather. Anyhow, Saturday became the warmest day of the year as the thermometer reached 22.7\u00b0C (72.9\u00b0F) which is very pleasant for the middle of April.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"227\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/ossettweather.com\/gardening2020\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/2020-04-12-temp.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-291\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ossettweather.com\/gardening2020\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/2020-04-12-temp.jpg 640w, https:\/\/ossettweather.com\/gardening2020\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/2020-04-12-temp-300x106.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In our pond the Marsh Marigold has come into flower. I didn\u2019t think it was going to manage to overcome the watercress which is taking over the pond..<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/ossettweather.com\/gardening2020\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/IMG_1088.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-292\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ossettweather.com\/gardening2020\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/IMG_1088.jpg 640w, https:\/\/ossettweather.com\/gardening2020\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/IMG_1088-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Last spring I cleared out nearly all the watercress and the little bit I left in appeared to die off. Clearly it didn\u2019t and it has returned with a vengeance.
