When the sprouts have formed you can pull off the bottom leaves.

This lets air to the sprouts and helps stop them rotting.

Sprouts taste better if they are left on the plant until there has been a frost.

Start picking the lowest sprouts first. Just pull the sprouts downwards and they will snap off.
