Our journey across the Pennines on the way to Wales was pretty wet. At times on the motorway traffic was almost at a standstill from the intensity of the rain. Once around the Manchester conurbation and heading for Wales the weather brightened up and we had some short sunny intervals between more showers of rain.
This showery weather remained for the remainder of our journey to our holiday cottage close to Lake Bala in North Wales. The view from our cottage was stunning looking down into the valley. The views of the mountains dependant very much on the current weather conditions.
We unpacked and settled in our cosy cottage for the evening and waited to see what tomorrow would bring.
