Doddington Hall and Gardens

Doddington Hall is five miles West of Lincoln on the B1190. The Hall was built in 1595 and from that time has been used as a family home. It boasts extensive gardens - some shots of which are shown below. The photos were taken during our visit in June. There are several styles of garden areas - formal Elizabethan gardens, a wild garden developed in 1950's, shrubberies, a turf maze, herbaceous borders, a nature trail and a two acre walled kitchen garden that was opened to the public for the first time last March (2007). There is also an adjoining farm shop (with some amazing stock), and cafe.

Click here to visit Doddington Hall and Gardens website for more information and details of when the house and gardens are open to the public.
