Before planting you should throw away any seed potatoes that have become soft or damaged.

Potatoes need to be planted quite deeply in the ground- about twelve centimetres deep.

Some people plant potatoes by first digging a trench but others plant them by using a trowel to dig a hole and then dropping the potato in the hole.
