Tatton Park

Tatton Park  is set in 1000 acres of beautiful parkland with lakes and tree-lined avenues. An important part of a country estate was a walled kitchen garden and glasshouses. It's role was to provide the house with fruit, vegetables and cut flowers. Many including Tatton have had these gardens restored to how they looked in their prime during the late nineteenth century. Many gardeners at this time had to produce fruit and vegetables out of season. The crops gain protection from the surrounding walls.
